You could support us by becoming a community partner and raising awareness and funds. Kingstonian FC started supporting our Young Carers' Project (YCP) in 2017 and we are delighted that they continue to work with us.
To help improve carer awareness in the community, Kingstonian FC now offer:
- All young carers "Kids for Free" under 18 season tickets.
- Two Young Carers Days a season. The first was held at a match on 18th March 2017 against Billericay Town as our first joint event. 11 of our young carers were match mascots and the match was also attended by the Borough's Mayor.
- Concessionary entrance has been offered for adult carers so parents who are carers and other adult carers can come too.
- A link on the Kingstonian website to Kingston Carers' Network.
The YCP is also discussed with youth team members, currently ranging from under 8s to under 18s. The club are committed to ensuring that any youth team members who are young carers are aware of the support available.
Kingstonian FC have also shown themselves to be wonderful Community Partners by utilising their fan base to raise over £3000 for additional activities for young carers. This has been achieved through match day collections, a Supporters' Club sponsored walk and donations in memory of K's President and club legend John McCormack.
They also provide Football Fun Days with coaching support which are a great success and very popular with young carers.
