Kingston Carers Strategy - Have your say

From RBK:

"Work is starting on the new Kingston Carers strategy, in partnership with carers, Kingston Carers' Network, SWL CCG and community and voluntary sector partners. Once we have the strategy, we will have action plans detailing what we will do.

We have set up sub groups and are keen to have as many carers attend as possible so we can hear your views, what matters most to you and what we need to do differently. We are writing to you to ask if you would be interested in joining the following sub-groups:

  • Young carers/ young adult carers - to look separately at issues affecting young carers/ young adult carers to feed into the strategy and the Young people/ young adults carers' action plan - Thursday 8 July 3.30 to 4.30pm - Facilitated by Diane White at Kingston Carers Network
  • Carers of colour - Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic Carers - to look separately at issues affecting carers of colour to feed into the strategy and adults' action plan - Monday 19 July 11am to 12pm - Facilitated by Adelaide Boakye-Yiadom
  • Communication and Participation - look at carers’ survey questions and assist with engagement of carers for the strategy, as well as feedback on web pages and other communication and engagement projects Tuesday 29 June 10am to 11am
  • Covid 19 - Lessons learnt - one off meeting to delve deeper into the conversations started at the Carers Board. Section to be included in the Carers strategy Wednesday 30 June 10am to 11am
